I did 3 uni degrees in order to keep being a student, and then had the cheek to take a gap year, all to avoid having to get a proper job and even then I didn't know what I wanted to do
Part of my "career" was becoming a Civil Servant and working in the Scottish Office, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland, Seed Potato Section, Maris Piper Desk (yes, seriously!!) I had to sign the Official Secrets Act, wear a shirt and tie to work and had a card to swipe to get me in and out of the building and monitor my time at work. I managed it for less than 3 weeks and just didn't go back on the 3rd Thursday afternoon because some friends were off to play golf in the sun and that seemd a better option. Sounds crazy when you write it down like that, but that is how it went. Must have been daft!!
I now work 3 hrs on a Wednesday afternoon, 3 hrs on a Friday afternoon, and then every second Thursday afternoon I do another 3 hrs.. and even then, work sometimes gets in the way of not-working. When I grow up, I want to be a student again.
