Thought I was joining Tut!

Post by r10crw » Sat Jul 12, 2014 1:08 pm

Just got a letter in for 108 tuts!

Dont know what it says about my driving but I automatically assumed Id been caught, thankfully on further investigation it turns out that's the day I sold the car, phew!

Now just need to prove that the car went in the morning, sold to a dealer who collected so he gave me back the yellow bit and Ive not sent it away yet.

Yeah, speedo wasnt that accurate so would have been an indicated 115+. Im away just now so just heard it from Charlene who of course just wound me up about it first, trouble is Id like to be home to take care of it.

We met at the airport so guess they would have video of the handover which took place in the passenger drop off area, then they should see me waiting for Charlene to collect. Also away to check the bank and see if I bought anything around the time of the incident outwith a driveable radius of ticket.

I had the same about 10 years ago, sold the car from the house an the buyer got 2 tickets getting back to edinburgh. I would think you just have to tell them the car was sold and prove you were somewhere else. I also told them the buyer must have bought fuel, which they can verify if they need to.
