New lotus CEO

Hope he can get the company moving again. Lotus seems to have been totally in the doldrums since the Bahar debacle. They desperately need a replacement for the Elise, which save for a move to Yota engines and a mild nip and tuck is basically the same car that was launched 14 odd years ago. Witness the fact that hardly anyone even talks about Elises anymore on this forum! And what about the new Esprit, or a convertible Evora (total no brainer, surely), or a hardcore GT3 style Evora?

Although to be fair, the fact that the company actually still exists and managed to launch the V6 Exige and the Roadster is something of a miracle following said Bahar debacle... So the outgoing CEO does need a pat on the back.

Agree though - some forward momentum with fresh direction would be nice to hear.

What are the sales figures looking like for the Exige V6 ?

This vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_X-cyhk63I mentioned 300 ish back in 2012.

Superb car it has to be said , but are the sales carrying the weight required ?

The V6 is obviously a mega car and I would dearly love one, but it seems to be selling in pretty tiny numbers http://left-lane.com/european-car-sales ... tus-exige/ Just 239 Exiges sold in the whole of Europe in 2013, 158 Evoras and 210 Elises. Not sure what the worldwide sales would add to this, but it is hard to believe these figures are anything other than hugely loss making. Compare that to over 1700 Elises sold in 2002, the year I bought my S2 Elise, and you get some idea of just how far the Elise has fallen behind.

The numbers depend on what the factory is capable if making. If it's anything over 60% capacity I'd say they were doing ok?
