Re: advice: westfield soft top
Your best option is the half hood - http://parts-shop.westfield-sportscars. ... duct_id=50
Exige V6
Re: advice: westfield soft top
As Neil says a half hood is a good option, much quicker to put on. I've never used the full hood yet on the 7.
Not aware of any trimmers locally but one of the Jock7s guys had a boot bag knocked up by Montrose Rope & Sail, maybe worth giving them a call to see if they can adjust your existing hood?

Let it get wet.
No carpets and cf/grp seats, what's the worry?

If you're getting wet, you're not driving fast enough.
Lighter showers will just blow over your head if you keep a bit of speed up. Half hood for when it's a bit heavier. Tonneau or a shower cap when parked up overnight if you like. I wouldn't bother ripping out your seats & carpets straight away, try it for a while & see how you get on, even if it gets a bit wet it'll dry out quick enough.

Re: advice: westfield soft top
As others have said, when you're moving it's fine (though with a windscreen the inside - non-wipered side - of the screen can get rain on it due to turbulence/rotors when driving)… I actually preferred an aeroscreen and helmet in heavy rain.
It's the stopping in heavy rain when misery visits the un-roofed occupants (junctions, urban roads, traffic lights, etc).
Half hoods are excellent - many, many folk happy with them. Though I never had one - found the normal roof almost as fast to put on and obviously a more effective weather seal for overnight stops etc. (2 x 3000+ mile Alps camping blats).

Coating of Rainex on the inside of the screen & a chamois to give it an occasional dicht keeps it clear enough.jasonliddell wrote:(though with a windscreen the inside - non-wipered side - of the screen can get rain on it due to turbulence/rotors when driving)…

I'd agree ref full hood - once experienced, it's almost as easy to fit.
Access and egress however, are a completely different matter

Flashback of practicing getting the Caterham hood up in the garage and being on my hands and knees whilst crawling head first to get out. Very undignified and fortunately I never had to do it in anger
