Any jewellers on here? NLC

Post by GBOBM » Fri Feb 21, 2014 7:30 pm

Is anyone on here a jeweller or know where I could get a good deal on a ring?

Its not an engagement ring (I'm already married) but I'm planning on getting my wife an eternity ring for her 30th birthday coming up.

Having just had a baby, any money I can save would be appreciated so just thought I'd ask.

We have used a manufacturing jewellers in Stirling in the past to make matching rings from old family gold.
Shop is hidden away in the upper floors of the building with only a door at street level and it isn't a premises that would impress but work has been outstanding and at a good price.

Yep, have used Ian and Andrew Gallacher a few times too. The wife agreed to my first Elise as long as she could get a solitaire ring ! She picked a diamond and Andrew made a customised setting for it. Have recommended him on here before (to one of the Scott's? from memory) who I remember from his PM was also pleased with the work and saving on high st prices. :thumbsup

Elizabeth Duke @ Argos does very reasonably priced stuff. And she'll never know provided you get a nice box from somewhere else.

So he makes custom jewelry from scratch? I've got an idea of what I want so could potentially get it made.

Pretty much, yes. If you tell them what you're looking for they should be able to make it up. :thumbsup

The SE jeweler of choice. Will make stuff to order at a fraction of the cost of argyle arcade stuff. Made shells engagement ring and our wedding rings.

Ian has pretty much retired but his son Gareth was fantastic with us.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

There are a few garage jewellers - aka people who care for their vehicles so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed :blackeye

(did that cos I've not seen this autocorrect for some time  )
