Used car book prices and PCP deals

Post by Jon » Tue Oct 03, 2006 11:20 pm

Hello guys, I'm a recent newbie and looking for any helpful comments on Lotus and unrelated topics:

I'm trying to sell my accord type r - the book price is a joke. I've been a visitor to the ATR owners site and they generally have same opinion. Anyone here had an ATR and experienced the joke values they quote for these used rarities? Car has only been on Autotrader since yesterday so I'm not panicking about no calls yet and am sure there is a buyer out there somewhere

Also, my missus is p/ex her A class and we looking at a CRV. Been to Chathams in Edinburgh today and they have quoted us an affordable PCP deal & monthly payment. APR 6.5% but true APR about 10.5% including balloon payment. My finance employed mate says this is reasonable for PCP deals but just wanted to check in case anyone has any experience of PCP (good or bad) as I've not used it before.

On a Lotus related topic and assuming ATR sale goes according to plan, I will have a little cash to spend on the Lotus. 1st off, thinking about the carbon fibre hard top from elise parts, for those miserable winter days where car will be at train station. Anyone got comments on these?

Also, I have the K&N an DeCat - sound much improved but think I'm still lacking some grunt. The back boxes look stainless (I'm no expert though! ) but is there something in between cat and back box I may be lacking?

Any help on any of these much appreciated. Cheers  (sorry if any of this has bored anyone) :tired
