It looks like Hammond has just left school and borrowed his dads jacket.

Good find though :thumbsup

Great find - enjoyed that.

Looks like the late Will Hoy at the wheel of yellow Elise and green/polished Caterham in the first minute of the video.

Thanks for that, I enjoyed a bit of proper cad show geekery for a change!

I agree it's Will Hoy. Hammond looks fresh out of school, and what is Patrick Watts wearing!

Fabulous piece of nostalgia, and honest journalism.

Very ropey production values, but then I guess it was shot on a very tight budget!

A keeper. In fact watching the S1 Elise nipping around reminds me how much I take for granted my own silver edition sat quietly in the garage. It was bleating at me today actually - the alarm backup battery warning was whining at lack of use :-( Been too busy to get out for a drive in her today but tomorow, if the weather is fair, is another story...

Brilliant.

PS - they shot that to within a day or two of Lisa and I visiting the factory in March 1999, just before I spec'd mine back at Murray Lotus. Was great to see lots of colours in the flesh before deciding on mine. Took us the whole journey home from Hethel to decide, mind you!

What other colours did you and Lisa fancy Campbell?

Azure blue. Red. Yellow. But silver with blue roof won through, and no regrets :-)

Chrome Orange next though. Midlife Crisis spec.
