Bucket List

Post by C7Steve » Wed Dec 11, 2013 3:12 pm

Anyone ever had/have a 'Bucket List'?

Thinking of making one up and making time to do the things listed on it?

Is there anything that you have always wanted to do, but not followed it through yet and have you heard of any interesting ideas that could go on a list?

Discuss..............

Steve.

Bucket List

Post by flyingscot68 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 3:28 pm

I've had a mental bucket list for years, done most if it.
Guess I should come up with some new 'want to do's' - got to have targets in life or you just get bored.

Hmmm. Topical..
I remember seeing a James May program when he went up to the stratosphere in a U2 aircraft to 75,000 feet and seeing the curvature of the earth below and the blackness of space above and was quite taken by that and kept going on about it to Wendy.

Wendy has suggested that I just get my finger out and "go for it" by doing a similar flight from Russia in a MiG-29. Go see space at 75,000 ft, 1800 mph on the way up, full aerobatic display maneuvers and 8g turns on the way down and some cool photos plus a week in Russia. Hmmmmm.

Not quite 75,000ft Jim, the ceiling was 59,000ft, but if you asked him nicely he could keep going until zero speed and do a stall turn which would give a few thousand more and be even more fun. :D
