Home weather stations

Post by Sanjøy » Thu Nov 28, 2013 12:20 am

Anyone have one? Looking at the Oregon scientific networked version. http://weather.oregonscientific.com/products_lw301.asp

Mate has just moved to Powmill by the Milkbar so if you are after live weather for KH the get the free OS weather app then add his station. Historical data is available too.

I have one Sanjoy with the receiver plugged into a laptop by my chair. I use Cumulus software which is free and better than the bundled one.

Bought it as a re-furbished model from Maplins for £42 instead of £99, but it appeared brand new and it does the job perfectly.

We have one too - but it's not electronic - it's called Cameron.

It has very few weather modes but announces in pigeon English-

"All Wet" - Currently Raining - Full Wets

"Been Rainin - puddles :-) " - Wet - but no current rain - Intermediates

"Too Bright" - Suns out - slicks

"Cold" - Proceed with caution - scraper required

" 'ot" - Slicks again - give it the beans

" 'nowman " - leave car at home

:-D

I've got one but it just has a display in the house - not networked.

As cool as that is - why would you need to know the weather at your house when your not at your house?
