I would have thought a big loss to Merc and an asset to wherever he goes next...

Also one of the sports more likeable characters.

Would be great to see him move to one of the wee teams like caterham and help them out.

I'd imagine that Ross Brawn was one of the draws for Lewis Hamilton to move to Mercedes so be interesting to hear his thoughts.

Merc/Brawn tight-lipped so far. So far this seems to be an Eddie Jordan special... but it certainly adds up. Why would Brawn stay there with so many chiefs? Weird setup at Merc - Lauda meandering around looking uninvolved and bored, Wolff rumoured to be disliked by team members, Brawn diluted, and so on... So many bosses.

Indeed. Conjecture that Brawn's presence may even be a condition in Hamilton's contract. He moved to make a fresh start away from McLaren, and within less than a year Paddy Lowe is his boss again....

Williams might be a nice move for Brawn, Ferrari could do with him back, but that won't happen.. Maybe it's time for Brawn to retire..?

I always got the impression that Lewis move to Merc was more about factory team / less sponsor-driven advert work etc..
Given the financial issues at Lotus, he'd be mad to go there.

I reckon Lotus might well be holding off, looking for someone who brings cash to the team, like Maldonado, but should go for Hulkenberg as the best of the rest who is currently available.
They won't ditch Grojean due to his boss being his manager, and of course he is starting to come good.

Lewis will stay put as it's the best seat he'll get for a season or two, though I wouldn't dismiss a move back to McLaren at some point, especially with hiring ex-RB head of aero and move to Honda in 2015. I suppose next seasons Merc performance will have a lot to play in that decision.

Maldonados money is tied into the package he took to Williams so unless a deal is struck he may not have any money to bring (maybe not a bad thing as he could be a liability) .
Lotus have been chasing a consortium sponsorship deal for a while but if it doesnt come off they wont be able to go for Hulkenberg and they will need a pay driver.

My money is on Brawn simply retiring.

Merc management sure sounds a mess.

I'd like to see McLaren stage a comeback but may take til they have Honda power.
