Oi! (I just went back a few posts to see this).

That's my garage you're describing. (GTI-6 is a Xsara VTS in drag). And a Multipla*. Lovely cars. Well cheap. Cheap and lovely.)

There's one in Prestwick for sale too. (Not that I've been looking too).

You'd have had to have overdosed on brave pills. I went for a look the weekend it went up for sale. No service history since 2006 other than a few receipts, including one for shipping a TVR 4.2 engine. And various other things...

Aye and judging by the colour I'd have to dig out my huggy bear suit too - there are far nicer examples out there, once again not that I've been looking :blackeye

Await's Nizzy's contribution.....

Looks like a lot of car for the money. I guess buyers these days just don't want big petrol engined cars.

It's ace. :thumbsup

I'm guessing his commute is all motorway though as I get around 27mpg on average .

Edited to Add a little more.

I bought mine because it appeared, was cheap and I had the cash sitting it helped that the elise broke down on the way to view it :D

You do get bored filling it with fuel my daily commute is couple of miles through town and then 5 miles country roads, it takes 15mins so I get crummy millage. It's quick and overtaking is over in a flash it's easy to head into licence loosing territory.
Good car feels heavy though so I don't fancy anything to spirited, the guy in the article would have been better buying an S1 for track driving
