Well as you put it like that. I have always had a hankering after one of these as well:

Yesterday I bought a Citroen C6 V6 2.7 Exclusive with every option ticked.
Today I've been driving around with my mouth open at how good this car is.
In sport mode with the 6 speed tip selected it can be hustled along a "B" road.
In cruise mode, with double glazing, and 30 speaker stereo it's xxxxxx.
Amongst a bucket load of trick functions It has a head-up display for speed, sat-nav direction etc. and if you veer over the white line it sends a warning vibration to your backside in case your asleep from the massage function on the seats ffs!
I may well wreck this car, but I will never ever sell it.
Like a modern interpretation of the Jaguar Mk10 420G
This car is truly wonderful.

In keeping with Cisco's recent purchase... A Mk1 CX
One of these:
and one of these...
ISO Lele
Finally, a 560 SEC - I very nearly bought this one last year for £500... 8 mpg and the fact it was sat in deepest Cornwall put me off...
RE: The Avantime - I ran one for a year back in 2004 in 3.0 V6 flavour... Ruinously thirsty, but fun in a weird sort of way. (Glad I leased it for £199 pcm...

)
Here's its rump from behind the wheel of my Mk2 Golf GTi - Had a Caterham at the same time (sat in the garage)... A real mixed bag of cars!

.....and I had the more humble Avenger (1.5GLS).
It suffered various mishaps including the time I put it into a field on the Northern Lights Road Rally back in the mid 70s.
My navigator was a nice chap, but sometimes forgot which way we were going relative to the map - calling out the road to me:-
" 100 yards - 90 left".....BANG...."I mean right......sorry.."
Happy Days

Haha... I had an Avenger.
Only memorable thing about it was that the speedo was a long rectangle and the red speed indicator moved along it.
Oh yeah, it also had windscreen washers that weren't electrical so you had to pump the stalk thing to get it to skoosh water

I had a car that had a 'foot pump' for the skooshers - think it was my Viva HB but so long ago its difficult to remember. I do remember upgrading the Viva with my first ever modification, a stick on heated rear window
