The few things I've read indicate that the car is still Cat C / D, but is indicated as Condition Inspected rather than Condition Alert.
Agreed
It is nigh impossible to give the vehicle a clean bill of health
The sites that most punters use to check out a car will still show it as CAT C/D etc.
The car is beautifully put together and will be bought by someone who does not give a damn about resale values

It is an unbelievable car for the money, but the CAT status will be putting putting people off. I appreciate you bought the new Exige in a moment of madness so you're in a hole - but I thought you built up the car to be a keeper. If I were to buy a car that was a CAT D/C it would be a 'forever' car as resale is (as you've discovered) a pita.

In short you need someone to be looking for a track weapon they'll never sell. That's a small market, smaller at 17k.

This is a horrible option, but if you need the coin.. What's the value if you break it ?
