Great advice. If the person viewing it is an enthusiast, it should be very simple to convince them in a couple of sentences that you've made the car better by fitting alternative parts because you are enthusiastic about the car, and like to learn and treat it right - only the best will do ethos. It also plays well towards regretting selling it, and showing that it's a car you planned to keep - but only if you have a good believable reason for selling of course!Dominic wrote:Most people like to try and find a standard, un-abused car. Upgrades like that point towards it being used more enthusiastically. If a buyer says something like "I here the standard brakes can be a bit poor - how have you found them?.. then that would be the time to say, "actually I upgraded them to .... " and if you are feeling cheekie... "...I did not notice much difference, but then I'm not a fast driver"
For a normal / non-educated buyer who will believe that BMW know best, it simply leads to thoughts that it's been abused and owned by a boy racer with a credit account in Halfords.
The things we have to do to sell cars!
