help required to transport car

Post by neilj37 » Mon Jul 08, 2013 10:02 am

Looking at buying a project car but it is not drivable as MOT has expired. Was hoping somebody here might be able to trailer it from aberdeen to house in montrose. Willing to pay for service.

I've always wondered if you could make an MOT booking, say, in Montrose, and legally drive the car to it from Aberdeen (if it's insured of course)...

Ninewells Garage in Dundee have a flat bed and definitely do collection and drop off in Dundee, not sure if they go further afield.

Otherwise, how about just towing it...

Might have a friend with a trailer that can help just waiting to hear back. Did look at professional type transport but was hoping one of the motorsport guys on here might be able to assist?

Neil,

I'm sorry, I can't help this time.

I just noticed your location however.

Do you know a tall thin chap called Terry?

I think he's originally from Botswana (might be Rhodesia) and he has the caravan storage place in the old jute yard.

I bet he'd know someone who could lend you a trailer.

Cheers,

Eric :)
