Nice unmolested Elise S1 that actually still has a K-series engine?

Bought a new Jag V12 E-Type in 1973 for £3,300. Although they went up to over £100K at their peak, there are plenty below that price now. This is its twin.

However when I went to sell it, it was to buy a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB for around the £6K mark. Almost certainly would not have kept it until now, but after looking at two I got married instead and bought a sensible Alfa Sud.

Tis the case with many of us - in 30yrs time when I'm tut's age, my Integrale will be worth considerably more than the £3k I sold mine for in '97

ps:- the E-Type roadster was without doubt one of the most beautiful cars ever. However its driving abilities compared to an Elise were a joke, even allowing for the fact that it was 40 years older, but hardly surprising.

It weighed 1500KG and put out 285hp, which was at the top of the scale then, but in the wet it was a menace. Remember losing it at 30 at Hyde Park corner in the wet and almost taking the bus queue out. On the roads a delight in the dry, but a Motorway journey in the wet with the hood up was the equivalent of taking a shower. However driving up to the Savoy Hotel with the latest Gulf Air hostie in tow and handing over the keys to the Concierge to have it parked, made up for it.

I actually had two, wrote the first one off on the M3 after a weekends debauchery back on leave from Oman when checking out the top speed, then bought an identical one with the Insurance money.

Was inclined to be a little over the top in those days, but you only got leave twice a year, so made the most of it.

OK so the E30 is very desirable and has great motorsport pedigree and heritage.... but Woooooaaah boy what's this.... a freaking Fiat 500 for what.... HOW MUCH!

That is nuts for the Fiat 500 :damnfunny . You could get a very well spec'd brand new BMW M135i for that money.
