new detector ?

Post by sendmyusername » Wed Jun 26, 2013 6:46 pm

saw this online, don't know if it's spam or not.
doesn't seem like a speed detector, as too low and too narrow an angle to capture incoming vehicles, and number plates.
might be two in series for speed calculations, but need number plates for that ?
maybe for traffic control, detecting tailbacks ?
don't think it's uk.
just thought i'd stick it on here for others to mull over.
(if the picture doesn't load, it's built into the crashbarrier)

I've seen the picture before somewhere. Think it was from Oz or USA.

Don't they have to highlight them with yellow and red stripes or something?

On an other note, saw a new police car in Dundee. Focus in dark metallic blue, ST alloys though no badging. Seemed a bit small for a traffic car, but probably quick enough..

There are Focus STs used by the traffic boys in Glasgow, marked and unmarked.
