His Video is amazing, ok he didnt get too far but if that doesnt make you want to have a shot then I don't know what will!

I would love to try it but I know too many rally mates and they more or less give up everything else in their lifes to compete, but I can totally understand why.

If you have the time and the money then I think you would be crazy not to do it. Personally, I dont think there is a better motorsport!

Keep us updated.

I did some rallying 20+ years ago and it is without doubt one of the greatest thrills there is, terrifying, expensive, addictive - do it if you can. I drove for a couple of years then switched to co-driving when the expense got too much.

Easiest to start with a single venue stage rallies then you don't need to think about service crew and back up vehicles.
Tarmac events are more familiar territory to drive & less damaging mechanically and let you get to grips with timing and logistics of it all. You also need a co-driver with a cast iron stomach and gonads to match. If/ when you progress to Forrest or loose surfaces the terror notches up as does the likely damage because of the surface, the surroundings and the likelihood of crashing. It is also a different skill and mindset to Tarmac surfaces.
There is little to match the thrill of thrashing down a Forrest track on the limit of control with trees feet from you on either side. If it scares you with the steering wheel in your hands it a million times more terrifying with a map and pace notes as your only control.
Even if you're crap at it there's little to beat it. :thumbsup

Clark, in the E30 you'd be difficult to beat on tarmac. DO IT!!!
