Aberdeen Advice
I am looking after my 6yr old niece this weekend and was looking for suggestions of what to do with her (heard your no longer allowed to throw then into the Don if they are bad)
Any parents with some good ideas of events this weekend?

Re: Aberdeen Advice
Cineworld kills a few hours on a Sat or Sun morning with the Kids Matinee, choice of Queens Links or Union Square. I go to the Union Sq as decent shops/restaurants as well as the cinema

Doonies Farm maybe but I've never been.
Satrosphere crappy last time I went. Codonas always a good shout. Lots to do and have ten pin bowling too.
Could head up to Macduff Aquarium.
Take her to the pub if the rugby is on

My pal Murray and I will be putting the engine back in his Fury on Saturday. She could give us a hand if she wants.
It's a nice red colour.

Cheers,
Eric

Duthie Park botanic gardens not a bad shout. My kids like a run around in there....and it's free.

Re: Aberdeen Advice
Wynford Farm soft play barn at the back of Westhill? Indoor slides and climbing frames, ball pits, ride on tractors, etc. Adults can go on it all too if your niece is shy of other kids. Not too expensive (four quid'ish entry for the kid, parents are free) and they have coffee and bacon rolls/cakes too. All the kids I know seem to love it. Will be mobbed but never seen it so busy that it would put me off. Just don't go with a hangover; the noise is nuts.
Will be good for a couple of hours entertainment, then head to Westhill for lunch and/or swimming in the public pool in the afternoon? She'll sleep well after that

Re: Aberdeen Advice
If the weather is nice then a trip to Stonehaven to Auntie Bettys sweet shop, the ice creams are fab followed by a wander along the sea front.

Re: Aberdeen Advice
Folks,
Thanks for all the recommendations. Managed to get her to bed at 21:00 without the use of drugs or alcohol, hoping that she does not wake till at least 08:00
George
Ps Eric if it's really manic I reckon Auntie Sandra could be asking to help out
