Land Rover Freebie!

Post by DDtB » Tue Sep 19, 2006 10:48 am

Got a call from Land Rover last night inviting me for lunch and a 4x4 afternoon at Dunkeld in any vehicle to mess around on their outdoor track there.....

so I chose the Range Rover Sport seeing as how it normally only gets used for school runs and thought it would enjoy a bit of proper driving...

all completely free.... must have got myself on a good mailing list at last!

cheers Land Rover!

:D

Aye, but did they mention what they do to you when the car "breaks down" in a remote part of the woods? :sheeplove

I did the Dunkeld Land Rover Experience (easy  ) a couple of years ago, good fun but the cars can just handle so much stick it never feels that difficult. The descents are easy, but some of the sounds coming from the transmission are horrific  Just as well it's someone elses car

TBH I test drove the SC when it came out at first but was seriously underwhelmed - "You can feel the 400bhp!" said the salesman as I booted it up the A9 - "hmmm, shame it's blunted by over 2.5 tonnes" I thought

That's why I now have an estate car with 450bhp
