Moley moley Moley - time for you to die/move on - Help!

Post by Andy G » Mon Dec 31, 2012 3:30 pm

Having some country gents & Noops on here, thought I'd post for advice before waging war on this little f***** !

Has started to appear in the rear garden, and now beginning to annoy, and while living on a golf course, there is loads of other places for him to go and tunnel.

Any thoughts on moving this flea ridden, underground pikee on much appreciated.

:cheers

I have about 5 traps somewhere in my garden, but can only find one of them now as lost track of where I put the others  Have only ever caught one mole but there must be a family of them as still getting the molehills, some of which are huuuuuge, like something out of the film Tremors is living under my lawn. Watching thread with interest... :popcorn

I've got some mole traps, usually catch 1 or 2 per year as they try to move into the garden from the surrounding fields.

You need to catch them early, once they get under the lawn and start feeding they breed like rabbits! :(

The traps are fairly simple to use, once you've seen it done they are easy to set yourself.

Glad we don't have them here, I get enough grief off Mrs FS if I hoover up a spider.

My brother and I had about 50 traps at one time and would trap moles for the local farms. Use a thin stick to find the tunnels then mark the traps with your stick so you dont loose them and check daily. We always preferred the traps that look like half a metal tube with 2 loops.

I prefer the old Duffus traps myself more chance of catching one either end  , most of my traps are in folks gardens right now catching the little blighters  However mole trapping is like getting the right line on a track day :thumbsup , there's a knack to making sure the trap is in the right place,in the right way at the right time.

Can't remember where you live these days Andy :?: , however if your really really ...stuck I might be able help

I could do without further pictures of moles being killed in such a painful fashion, thanks

Cheers,
Robin

Well done mate - my traps are on my desk - just back in the office today.

I'll be out to the garden later to set some traps.

Clare got a sonar thing when i was away, but that just seems to make him change direction :damnfunny
