What next?
What next?
Not posted for some time but here we are.
Had an unpleasant experience in the Elise a few months ago, and rather happy not to have seen any comments on this meantime.
Immense and unnecessary difficulties with insurance, which I'll share once all the dust has settled.
So a question for informed SE bods.
Elise, Evora or dare I mention Exige v6 as replacement for the soul?
Have found Justin's posts here and on SELOC illuminating and helpful, but don't want to give away my thoughts right at this moment.
So, given the need to change, who would move from Elise to Evora and why? NA or SC?

Re: What next?
Not sure what you budget is, or your requirements for some practicality, but having been fortunate enough to drive a v6 exige, that's where my money would go!
Re: What next?
Oh, should add, sorry to hear about you unfortunate experience in the elise. No idea what happened (and not asking), but hopefully you are all okay?

Re: What next?
We went from an Elise to the Evora and found it to be an excellent choice, much more relaxed and refined and can easily hustle as fast as an Elise if you want to.
However we have decided to go for the Exige V6 as for tight back roads the extra width of the Evora meant you had to slow down a little. Suppose it's depends on how you drive and where yoU want to go. If it's Europeab or long jaunts then theEvora will win hands down but if it's short weekend runs the I suspect the Exige V6 is the way to go.

Re: What next?
The Evora and Elise/Exige are so different to own, yet actually quite similar to drive. If that makes sense.
I think really only you will know which one you want.
If you crave the rawness of an Exige, then the Evora will feel a bit sedate. But if you want something more usable and GT-like, the Evora is fantastic!

Would be useful to know what sort of Elise you had before!

The requirements of what you are looking for from a car would be helpful though.

In general terms the Elise variants are basic no frills vehicles, and Evora is a more 'normal' car that benefits from some of the luxuries that appeal to a wider audience, but that can be viewed as a + or -
Both sports cars, both sprinkled with Lotus DNA but their appeal is different.
I would/will move to an Evora as its appeal as a daily driver is that its better fitted, more comfortable, more refined, maybe not quite as fast in NA trim but with a SC must be close and now available at a price that puts it on a par with (albeit newer) sc Elise.

Re: What next?
I don't think there is a major difference in "real" world perform between an N/A (CR boxed) Evora and an Evora S. You do feel the S being a little bit more willing to wag it's tail if your on it but when we had the test drive the difference was not significant enough for us to put our hands in our pockets.
However slightly different if your buying & not trading up, however I would not discount an N/A if it's a good one.
