Heating / Gas Engineer
Probably a bit of a long shot but I am looking for a heating engineer to install a new gas boiler for me in Kilmacolm.
I started with Scottish gas who were, as expected, ludicrously expensive and now have a quote from an independent which is better but still too high to my mind.
I am relocating the boiler and converting to a combi rather than an old vented system boiler but even so the labour element is way too high. I have done my home work and have worked out roughly what materials are going to cost and have been told by both SG and the independent that it would be a 4 day job which seems fair enough but the price does not seem to add up.
Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

A combi
Why
I would look at a pressurised hot water system as i've been in many houses with a combi and the hot water pressure has been pap where as with a pressuried hot water tank it is excellent

Yeah, if its a 4day job then an unvented tank and decent system boiler would be the way to go, especially if its ur standard large home in kilmacolm.

I'm looking at a Worcester highflow 440 combi boiler which will give me 20L per minute. I have not yet completely made up my mind but after a lot of reading i thought that would do the job. I can be talked round but am not particularly taken with the idea of storing hot water when it is not needed.
