OK, need some advice.
I'm currently with Orange with a contract I took out back in March time.
I've just realised that the feckers put me on a 18 month contract which I did not realise at the time. I also want to drop my tarriff as I don't use the phone that much but according to them I can't drop it until Jan time. I think I'm around £30 a month with my called and texts being around £10/£11. Of course, they will allow me to increase my tariff. I feel I'm getting totally raped here.
How can I get out of this contract?
My friend is in a similiar situation and when he asked to get out of the contract (he lost his phone) he was told he would have to pay the remaining 14 months line rental at £220.

So your saying your average bill is £40?Gareth wrote:Aye, line rental is £30 or something.simon wrote:They will allow you to decrease your tarrif so have a look and see if there's a better one for you.
Are you saying your calls and texts are £10 on top of the £30?
They WILL NOT allow me to decrease until Jan.
So why do you need to "decrease" your tariff?

I think the point is G that you are saying you are using £10 more than whats included in your tariff so the point being why do you need to decrease it?! The answer probably being the the extra £10 is premium rate numbers and the like

I'm just clarifying what you said, now you're changing your story

Change the tact of the questions/statments to, how many minutes and how many texts a month do you need?

I have an Orange Contract that they keep trying to get me to upgrade from. No way as I don't pay any line rental and only pay for calls at rates far less than Pay as you Go. I think it was a price match to a Vrigin tarrif they offered me when I was cancelling my business Orange account and moving my phones to PAYG.
Got Skye a Mobile for her birthday with Easymobile and picked up one myself. Only 3p a minute to phone each other, and 1p for texts. A couple of weeks ago I got £45 airtime for £3 buying 3 EasyMobile SIM cards as well. Present SIM card offers not just as good and limited airtime life. They work with t-Mobile phones as Easymobile uses the T-Mobile network. Good old Stelios, he should help make the competition more competitive.

If anybody does take out an EasyMobile Sim Card/Phone if you quote my EasyMobile Phone Number 07726045389 then we both get credited with £5 airtime
