I say one eleven s, like 2-eleven, but 135, I say it in single numbers and not one thirty-five. :D

I've always called it a one-one-one s or a triple one s as one-eleven sounds silly to me.

I always thought 2-11 was a crap name, but surely if it was a one-eleven it'd be a 1-11S, or indeed the other one would be a 211 not a 2-11 ? :s

This reminds me of a video game geek thread where someone asked how people pronounced the name of the 2nd Nintendo home console.
Super Nintendo, SNES, Super NES, S.N.E.S or Super N.E.S.
There was various opinions on which was best / correct.
Everyone agreed that it was funny when people called it the Super SNES (which happened a lot when I was at school)
Maybe i'm that person with Lotus names :(

Geek fact.

Before the Elise was called the Elise - there was an opinion within lotus that it would use the model number as the name (the Elise project type number was 111) The original internal photos of the S1 styling car had the name on it (where the Elise name ended up) as "One Eleven" written in handwriting script in those words.

So, to Lotus, it's the One Eleven.

Yep as shug says it was Project 111, but the owner of Proton stuck with tradition and named it after his granddaughter, Elisa.

The Elise was named after then Lotus' chairman Romano Artioli's granddaughter, "Elisa".
