It's incredibly generous of our friend but part of me is terrified to let her out in it. So far she's buzzed round his drive in the ice (with one of us holding on to it so she was mainly sideways at about 2 mph).mwmackenzie wrote:Looks wicked fun in these conditions! I hope she enjoys it!

Re: Karting.
She'll be grand, get her some practice at the Kart place at cambuslang as they do lessons on a sat morning and then once a member she can go every sat am for a couple of hours for £15 if my memory serves me right as I was taking my eldest there last year..

Re: Karting.
Pete, Mig in Symington (in the old school house) has children around that age and runs a Karting track somewhere near Kilmarnock (not been yet), maybe a good idea to get in touch with him?

Re: Karting.
Cheers folks, really appreciate it (although pal who gave me kart has a huge history in karting himself, and is just starting off with his daughter. But I feel bad pestering him for advice when he has been so kind to get us started!).
(exits stage left to read up on "Kart maintenance for the mechanically inept". There's got to be a website somewhere.)
