Has to be Scotty for his results as a Newbie in his first race series. Although not official, he emerged as the winner if it had been point scored, hence his No 1 on the car.

Despite the breakdowns, offs, etc, with great help he got back on track regardless that he had to spend a small fortune on replacement parts, but never looked at packing up.

He is now up against open wallets, so unlikely to be able to repeat it, so I would like it to be his year.

Yeah, but with all due respect to Scotty - others have done well in their first season of racing. As Shug says it's going to be a hard one to call!

Another one for the pot would be Simon Ironside for building and racing his own car!

yup - i reckon you need to make this for this year, and clarify if you mean 2010, the season 2009, etc.

Best driver etc categories all surely need time dated?

The idea is to take it lightly Paul, I can not believe anybody would take it seriously, presuming it was Jens idea, it was just another part of the Xmas dinner.

Actually, just checked on Jens original post, and we have all got it wrong, tis not best driver, it is "Best Driver Etiquette on track/road runs."

Whole new ball game.

Tut, you're right. These awards were made up by me so we can have a bit of a laugh in the run up to the party and hopefully grab more interest to come along. This category is supposed to be the driver with best etiquette on road runs and track this year. Add your nomination and the names will be added to the list and the judges will choose the winner.

I just want it to be a bit of fun!!

Exactly Jen. Actually most of the faster drivers do have good etiquette on the road which is probably why we are still alive, just that it is a sort of quicker version.

As for the track, if you can not go round the barsteward, then go over the top of them, sod the etiquette.

Thanks Mac, I'm touched! Hope to make a track-day once the hill-climbing season has finished.

I thought Tut was the worst for "touching" his passengers, only seems to happen to the female ones though. Funny that!

I might be biased - well actually I am.

I vote for Mrs Ford at her first ever track day, spinning at the hairpin at KH at TT2010 and having the guts to carry on for a few more laps.

I know its like voting for the UK at the Eurovision song contest but that''s OK.

2nd and 3rd votes go to Paul and Campbell for being the perfect accomplices on TT2010.

Cheers
