That was my mate Peter in his brand new (well, 5 day old) Ferrari California learning that even with all the electronic traction control trickery, fancy suspension and carbon ceramic brakes, you still need to turn the wheel to go round corners.
Thankfully no damage done other than a severly bruised ego :blackeye

I asked Scot the same question. Apparently it may have been car no1 which Yokohama used to develop the tyres.

Smee, did you take your S1 as there was one parked on the road just up from GPM ?
Elise S - OMG its fast spec
Seat Leon FR+ Supercopa - BTCC Spec

Lucky!

I respect that he had enough courage to take a 5 day old F-car on the track :thumbsup

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Thats a local car then isnt it? I "heard" it was part of a local businessman/part-time-not-very-good racers collection.

Think I spotted it. Looked tremendous :thumbsup

Not enough hog there on display though. Last year I recall there was a good selection of Porsches both young and old. Nevertheless, a nice display of cars all told. I think the Jag SS 100 was my favourite; what a fabulous machine that was. Had to leave early so missed it's outing on track and the later 'off track' excursion. Glad to hear it's just a dented pride and no bodywork.

Did the F50 make it on track?
Cheers,

Simon

Anybody else attend the 'Ferrari Day' at KH, about 10 or so years ago, where the F50 crashed?

Looking back, it was quite an odd day - I actually paid good money to watch a bunch of Fezza owners crawl (and I mean crawl!) round the twisties, and hoof it down the straights.

The F50 took to the track in the morning, and after a couple of slow exploratory laps, decided to put the hammer down on the straight, understeering off at Duffus, with the brake lamps blazing...(!)

Remember seeing the carbonfibre front clamshell flying off, as it hit the outer tyre wall hard and snapped...Ouch!

There was a McLaren F1 GTR racer car there, too - In BMW Fina colours - Did one 30 mph lap, as it was fitted with slicks, and the track was damp by this point. Pussy.

Highlight was the two F40's - Lapping in unison. They were both well driven, and murdering everything else on track. Looked amazing , too. 8)
