Scotty C at Brands

Post by millsie14 » Sun May 03, 2009 9:27 pm

Just got home after being at Brands Hatch with Scott,
Yesterdays result, 7th overall 1st in class. Very grassy momments involved, wrecked a suspension damper but still got the above result, Car repaired ready for todays 2 races,
1st race today, lying in 4th, spun kissed Barrier broke rear nearside toe links top and bottom.
Repaired car again, out for race 3, 6th on grid from quali. .Avoided carnage of first lap wreck going up to druids, restarted race finished 2nd overall 1st in class. 2 more trophies, 2 more signatures, Scott overjoyed with weekend, even after repair costs,. He says he will give full report when he finally gets back up North, and has had some sleep.

Cheers for the update - Glad he avoided the carnage which (possibly) wrote off Randy's Europa...The rumour mill reckoned a 2-11 was also involved...(!)

Looking forward to the report :D

Great recovery by him. He must be comfortable now coming first in Class, but to come second overall was a great result.

He told me at Donnie that he thought he had to finish the race to get a signature, but hopefully that is not correct.

He does but this was a 3 race weekend.

Sounded like some hairy goings on when we spoke on Saturday and that was before the Sunday carnage.

Hoping to speak to him on his way north this morning.

Another top effort, and sounds like he is giving his absolute all :thumbsup

He avoided the carnage by being in front of it all, due to good quali result, with grid reversed he was on 6th but by druids he had reach 4th, with the quicker guys still behind him. Randy's car is a write off bent chassis after hitting tyre wall at about 120.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

He just posted on .org that he reckons the chassis is ok with no irreparable damage. :thumbsup
Been following his progress from the beginning and the way he transformed the lardy Europa into a race winning contender has been amazing to watch. Fingers crossed for a speedy return to the track (with a hans device  )
