Have been persuaded to enter a raft race at Loch Goilhead during the summer and after a few pints we have come up with the general design and theme.
Team Lotus and the Life aquatic, or something like that!
Plan is to build a basic floatation structure then attach front and rear clams to it and such other bits and bobs as are required to make it look vaguely like a paddle powered Elise.
So the next question is where to get the bits. I have a design for the flotation section in mind. I’ve always used oil drums, either welded together or built into a wooden frame but they sit far to high in the water so I was thinking of trying to “findâ€

Are you talking about cars or clams.... take the engine out, some sealant on the doors.. might get it back cleaner than it normally is.

Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
