Anyone know owt about hand warmers ?

Post by Sanjøy » Thu Apr 06, 2006 7:27 am

Got a pair of "Design Go" hand warmers that are essentially pockets of blue liqid with a metal disc in them you snap to activate the liquid.
Only used them once and they were very good and i followed the instructions on boiling them in a cloth wrapper for 10 mins and allowing to cool.
On boiling they return to their liquid state (the turn to hard crystal when used) but when cooling they return to crystal.

Ideas ?

Boil them for at least 10 minutes in a saucepan without them touching the metal sides (small saucer in pan) then switch off the heat and let them cool down in the hot water. Takes a bit longer than taking them out to cool but it does work. Handy to get some heat back in Skye's hands after snowball fights.
