I was quite expecting him to say that he realised that the cones were not a good idea and he promises to think more about his paying customers in the future.
It's funny, but even though he has agreed to do what we all want, he has still p!ssed us off, that takes talent or is it just an oversized ego?

I took the opportunity of e-mailing the Ian direct and he appreciates that we were all concenred are the sin bin fiasco last year. He also said that the talent comment was made with his tounge firmly in his cheek.

I guessed that Mac, it wasn't the comments about the "talent" that p!ssed me off, it was the other sh!te he wrote, the attitude that came across was, it's our circuit and as we have spent lots of money on it you should be grateful. If Neil hadn't persuaded us to all complain about the cones do you think that KH would have reached the same decision, or would we have cones for the rest of the year......

I firmly believe complaining has only made the point clear to them that they are not liked. The cones are there, as has been pointed out, whilst the work is finished around the edges.
I whole heartedly agree that we should not be expected to thank them for spending money on their circuit and that we are the paying customers.

Giles,
Probably not.
I think we would still have cones if we hadn't all kicked off about it, in the same way as we did last year. Not sure how much weight the forum posts had, probably more to do with the trackday organisers asking the question.
I think that the "works not finished" is an easy out to save face, but either way all's well that ends well.
Cheers
