I was chatting to a guy with an Ultima at Croft last year. He said he found it terrifying on anything other than a bone dry track, and was thinking of selling it to buy an Exige. I still really like Ultimas though. If I didn't have to work for a living I would love to build one. If it takes circa 200 hours to build a Westfield I'd imagine you could easily treble that for an Ultima with no doubt a whole heap of hassle along the way. Fun if you had the time though.

I have found the same with Ultimas on track, been on with a few but either the driver has been slow, driver/car have been slow, or they have broken down, once on the second warm up lap.

However there were two cars that outdragged me on the straight recently at KH, a 750hp Escort and an Ultima that I had not been on with before.

I've got a vid of you sything past one at KH on maxsports in the rain Tut

Think I posted elsewhere that this month's evo is a bit light on reviews, and too heavy on the ads for Audi & Shell. There seems to be far more 'we went on the presh launch and drove these cars at 8/10ths on the specifically chosen test route' articles now than before. eCoty will be back soon though, that promises to be a great read.

I was quite disappointed with the M-Cars review, far less entertaining than the similar Lambo one they did previously. Perhaps they should re-run the Porsche supertest, or the Fezza test in the coming months?

Nice 8) Can't think of any car more fitting for a trip to Le Mans - well, 911 RSR maybe. Must be a bit of a mare in that heat without decent aircon though. Can they have aircon?

Remember them at Spa 2 or 3 of them. It rained off/on for 2 days never seen them out much on track, but they sounded nice in the garage

They have an option for Aircon. How good it is though....
