Apologies if this has been asked before, but does anyone here have a soft copy of the Elise parts manual? Reason for needing this is rather obscure - ever since I got my exige it has bugged the hell out of me that there is less legroom than in my elise. The problem is the daft rear seat mounting brackets which prevent the seat going all the way back to the bulkhead. I have solved this by using a set of earlier Elise seat runners, which do the job perfectly (after a bit of fettling and lots of swearing), but the 'double shear' brackets at each side of the seat are slightly wider so I need the part numbers of the longer seat belt mounting bolts and spacers. Think the parts might be common to S1 and S2 Elises, so either parts manual might do.
Thanks, Mark

I take it you haven't opted for the harnesses?

Not yet but I might in the future. The runners have put in have the double bracket on both sides which are supposed to give a stronger mounting harness lap straps.

I've found with the harness bar in my S2 that the seat doesn't go as far back as it used to.
Thought it might have been that.
Cheers

Interesting - I was concerned about that when I ordered my car. At the time MMC did not have a performance pack car in stock, but I had heard that the bar might rob some rearward movement of the seat which was partly why I ordered my car without it. I have got long legs and a niggling knee problem which means I am very particular about having a straight leg driving position.
