Tyres are a pain in the A*** !

Post by CSK_423 » Thu Oct 25, 2007 10:27 am

In the Audi since March 07

2k Miles : Slow puncture, repaired (£10)

4k Miles : Slow puncture moving onto a blow out, new tyre (£130, conti sport no mitchy's in the UK for love or money !)

15k Miles : Slow Puncture, non repairable, new tyre (£150) same tyre that went at 4k miles :!:

15.5k Miles : 2 fronts on the markers, new tyres (£300)

So after 15.5k miles I have spent £590 on tyres !!

I put one set of rear tyres on the liz at a cost of £250 iirc for that sort of mileage !!!

 Dom kills tyres in like 5 minutes, granted they aint £150 a pop.

When i ran my exige it needed new rears after around 4k miles. I did 22k in 16 months and thats was £300 a go! Fronts were every 7k, dont get me started on the pads etc.

But it was worth it! :drive 8)

RLC - new rears every 1500 miles or 2 races - they are 48's. (2 sets of rears toasted on FF6 alone!)

No idea what my tyre bill for the year is , and am scared to calculate.

Also killed 3 sets of rs14's in 6 weeks

See - it could always be worse :D
