Have i just watched a member of SE or Knockhiller, on the news tonight, fighting the pledge of farmers and how they walked away with nothing today????????
Recognised the face from a KH briefing!
This thread may stay with 0 replies in which case i will stop drinking wine during the week!

Having looked at the BBC website, it was a chap called Jim McLaren, very comprehensively put across a good point!

He is the President of NFU Scotalnd (National Farmers Union). He is known on here as Blackbird Jim, I think because he has a bike powered westie. He comes from Crieff.
And yes, he knows his stuff!

Ah now it makes sense, as Iain was going to use the Blackbird if Jim couldn't make it, and it was indeed TT where i saw him in the briefing room!

Caterham Blackbird IIRC.
Jim also came to Oulton etc....
