Scotty needs a 211

Post by Lawrence » Thu Oct 18, 2007 5:29 pm

Having looked at all the pics that are available on the 211, I must say the actual car is so much nicer than I ever imagined it could be. This little 350 BHP per tonne car is ever so nice and best of all it's bog standard and guaranteed.
I'm not sure if it's deer proof but the way the front and rear panels bolt on it certainly looks like it's "not right off friendly" right away

Graeme is threatening to take it to the AMP3 day tomorrow to let you all see it, If I wasn't fully committed in Edinburgh tomorrow then I'd be up for a go in it for sure. It really is so much better designed to do what it looks like it wants to do and that's thrashing round race tracks, with it's twin ram air double ducts and awesome traction control functionality. Time will tell but I reckon it'll take a few bumps before the repair involves large sections of body work.

Anyways my first thoughts on seeing it live was that's a Scotty car if ever there was one ;)

My second thought BTW was what will it look like in Gulf Blue :)

I said exactly the same to Graeme when me and my bro were in looking at it; the pictures really dont show the details. In the flesh it looks awesome.

The smaller bits of clam also look much easier to replace. Also was amazed at how much longer it is than an elise. Big :thumbsup

I was goading him to brining it a couple of weeks ago. Tis a lovely car, more functional then outrageous like the 340 which did initially disappoint but after walking round it for 30 mins.... :love
