Quote from Subaru management...
"Cos were getting humped in the WRC lets build a focus copy... no look ford have build a boggin looking thing based on a focus for mazda... lets copy that instead but we will try and make it better....
Aw bugger it still looks crap.... lets stick some wings on it...
Aw bugger it still looks crap...

Read somewhere that Subaru are already pushing through a redesign of the scoob after such poor initial reaction...not friggin surprised. The Evo is going to hump the new impreza!

you would think wouldn't you ? when It was at full scale clay and they could walk around it. someone must have said " 残念しかしそれがらくたの山はである、醜く、私にむしろevo X がある " or Sorry but that is a pile of crap, it's ugly and I would rather have an evo XDominic wrote:I can't help but think that surely someone at Subaru must have questioned the looks before signing it off?
Sent from my ZX SPECTRUM +2A
Evo X...interesting. Mondeo at the front, Alfa at the rear - neither is a bad thing
However the Evos always have the hardcore reputation, whereas Scoobs are a bit more soft porn-ish. You get your fillings removed by Evo suspension, and must plot a route with a filling station every 150 miles if you want to stretch its legs
At the top end, yes, the Evo X may well take away Sti sales. At WRX type level, I think other (European) manufacturers might benefit. Although the scoobs are always good value to buy, compared to VW and Audi 4x4 monster equivalents.
All good though...just further encourages me to abandon a return to Subaru and get on with buying that Integra instead

It all hinges on share options next spring, fundamentally! (Oh, and whether Lisa decides to go back to work or not
)
The new LogicaCMG chief exec is helping - was worth maybe 15p per share recently!!
A takeover bid would be even more useful

Decided to phone Litchfield. Spoke to Ian (Litchfield!). Very nice fellow, knows his stuff.
So I need £13k-£16k depending on age. He'll source to order.
Better go shake that piggy bank
And instruct Lisa she is going back to work like it or not.
[ok folks, sorry, end of thread-hijack!!!!]
