I popped in to 'Soled Out' and they had Puma Speedcats starting from £29. That was a pair of cream with tan stripe (which sound minging but actually looked quite smart). Other colours were available and ranged from £35-£55... although, me being a tight-arse, I liked the look of the £29 pair.
Stock/styles/colours seems to change quite often in there, although they always tend to have speedcats of some kind.
Thanks Andy make take a drive through tomorrow if Im not busy I guess they are open on a Sunday?

I use OMP kart boots for the autotesting, about 30quid, as good as others just not FIA approved.

Guess it's preference.. but for me, a nice comfy fit but narrow. A sole that is thin enough to let you feel the pedal, a heel that moulds round so it doesn't catch on the floor... After that, it's down to budget/style/make etc (assuming you don't want FIA approved ones).

hmm, me needs a new pair.
I find high backed driving shoes are the best, as otherwise the heel of normal trainers tends to bight in to my achillies after a lot of driving... old adidas tuscanys were spot on, the new ones not so good
