Heater Fan replacement - What to do in Edinbuggers tomorrow

Post by Mr Momo » Mon Mar 06, 2006 10:48 pm

Got to be @ MMC for 08:30 tomorrow to get the heater fan replaced. They are also replacing the gearstick under recall.

So - all day to kill on foot. I normally only have to kill 3 or 4 hours - no probs - anything I should definitely do ?

Nope, 111R and Exige only. Apparently they can snap!

Just booked mine in for Friday. :D

Don't think my cars affected given the stick (no pun intended) its been getting recently, but also going to get them to check out my new louder exhaust at the same time

Rental scrapper (Merc or similar) in Germany for beasting up and down the autobahns this weekend. If only i was going to be nearer the Nuremberg (or however you spell it).

Is it checking the shape through the leather on the stick, and if its hex then it needs changed? What should it be? On all model years or just early ones?

yeah, in the leather bit - u can feel it as hex and its quite narrow.

think they changed it later to a thicker round one...

Heater done - so much better now (but there are still smells coming in), but not enough time to do gearstick, so I'll be back.

Spent part of the day getting a personal guide round the Museum of Scotland in Chambers St - pretty good.

But it p*ssed down - on the way back I was travelling at many tuts when I hit the concrete part of the road at Brechin with massive aquaplaning - that wok me up
