Made a few calls today and it turns out it was a demo car for its first 2000 miles. god knows how its been treated !

gonna press on this now hopefully the standing starts were done during this period, then i can ask the question why did nick whale sell a car with these faults recorded on ECU.

also read a few posts on american forum and turns out this failure is more common than first though. The guys over there had no problems gettin new box.

Alright troops.

want the good news or bad first?

Bad first . I DEFO aint getting a new gearbox.

good , The gear box has been totally stripped down, No damage inside box , jst few marks in flywheel area .

My dad(wielder to trade) has wielded the small hole and its now sealed again.

Now the really good news , Neil Turner has agreed to cover the full bill from MMC including new clutch.

I know its not the beat outcome and they are still just avoiding the 4/5k for new box , but at least its getting sorted :D

Great I am off on holiday on sat , not gonna drive it for a while yet !!!!
