I had my full day training at Knockhill yesterday.
Morning:
On road training, wasn't particularly iteresting - it felt like an advanced driving test. Focused on observation skills, how to read corners and generally how to be a more considerate and careful driver whilst utulising the elise properly and safely in the backroads. Ali (an ex traffic cop) was the guy who took me out.
Early afternoon:
25 laps on track. Wow - this was amazing. I had no idea it would be so much fun, I am definately going to be coming to as many track days as possible going forward, I had a really good time yesterday and by my 20th or so lap, my chap says I was making good progress. Fastest I got to on the straight was 110mph, had to hammer the brakes for the first corner though. man I was sh1tting bricks, but it was fan-bloody-tastic. Anyone wanna buy my in car CD player?

Later afternoon:
Skid Pan. Not much to say except invaluable lessons on what I should have done last month when I buggered the car off the kerb. This led onto me doing figure 8's sing controlled rear end skids in a Sierra Cosworth.
I feel much more confident should I skid again. Which I wont.
Highly recommended, especcially the track and skid pan. All in under £300.
Gary.
PS - Sister appears to have turned a corner and is on road to recovery, thank god.
