Mark, funny you say that as i called an ex colleague/friend of mine at Merc, as they have moved out to Newbridge and he says they have never been so busy, and the new C class is driving a hell of a lot of business back to Mercedes. Ad for the C63, waiting list is mahooooosive!!!

You should see the size of that place - it gigantic!
C classes looked mean in the DTM race, but sounded sh*t next to the A4's

I really like the look of that Thorney Europa. The Europa seems to have been a bit of a sales flop for Lotus, but I reckon if it had been more like the Thorney car from the start they might have shifted quite a few.

Agreed, it did look mean and it was interesting to hear that they freed up the extra horses relatively easily

Looked like a 3/4 plate on that car too... tsk tsk

The old Merc garage in Edinburgh is now an Alfa Garage. There was always a Merc place at Newbridge but it was just a van centre... the new place does look gigantic now (a bit like the new C-Class)
Gotta agree on the M3, if I had that kinda money I'd not be looking at an M3. Don't like the new 3-series look in saloon or coupe guise TBH and you can get some good machinery that aren't ugly for that budget.
I've only just started reading this months EVO, but the Ferrari/lightweight peice was quite interesting. What I didn't get was the story about the new Toyota Supra and the fact that each manufacturer has to have an average emmissions below a certain level to be compliant in Europe. How does that work for Prestige Marques like Ferrari/Lambo, even Porsche etc? They can't be making that target (in fact, the level was so low that I'd guess even marques like BMW/Audi would struggle) ??

This was suggested as one of the reasons why Porsche were keen to buy VW, lots of Golfs and Polos to balance out a few GT3 RS and Carrera GTs
Just read the M3 article, and have to say I'm still not too sure about the looks, still love the E46 and especially the CSL but the new 3 series just does nothing for me

11mpg too
