Recommend a bike and where to buy.

Me and the Mrs have bought a house next to the canal in Linlithgow and are thinking on buying a couple of bikes. Nothing too extreme as it will be just along the tow path a bit and back. The last bike I had was a Grifter (1982) and I'm looking for something a bit lighter!

Budget: £300 for the pair!

http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ is a good bet, especially for their own brand bikes - I've owned a couple and they've been very reliable and good value.

Oh, and welcome to Linlithgow, will watch out for your Elise in the town
