We'll try to go for 29th then.

Stephen, hadn't forgot about 28th, I'll try to make it over, but won't be able to stay late.

Shug, I'll put up a separate post about the run on the 29th later tonight and then give you a shout about organising a route.

You asking what time the run will be Gary? Definitely Sunday 29th July, but not agreed a start time yet. Probably not too early - something like 10am.

Sign-up here if you're coming along: http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... php?t=8815

I'll be trying to put a route together at the weekend, then Shug's going to have a look at it and suggest more local roads he knows.

Anybody who did the "sweeping the leaves" run in it's second year, will have experience of some other roads down my way. The A712 New Galloway to Newton Stewart. The A713 Ayr to Castle Douglas (where I live) which passes New Galloway and the A714 Girvan to Newton Stewart. There are some excellent driving roads in Wigtownshire (if you get near to Newton Stewart) especially the coast road from Port William to Glenluce (which joins back onto the A75 to Stranraer) it's long and very fast with some very twisty sections.. .
Those roads are also usually left alone by the cops (well.. maybe not the A713 so much, but I've rarely seen them patroling it) I don't know why people don't come down here more often for a blast as our area is almost traffic free most of the time.
