Niece (5) , Just phoned me to tell me about her Daddys Land Rover.

He parked up a site where he has men working (reinstating after work on roads) - somewhere in Ayshire, talking to his guys when one of them saw smoke coming out of his Land Rover - they ran over and opened the door at which it burst into flames - they couldn't get in to disconnect the battery so apart from phoning the fire brigade they were spectators. After 10 minutes the Landie was well ablaze, there was a bang and it started to roll down the road, gathering speed as it went - after about 500 yards it reached a line of parked cars - that stopped its progress !! Unfortunately however 1st car in the line also catches fire., the fire brigade arrived in time to stop the fire spreading to the next car but Land Rover and Polo were both destroyed Golf in front had heavy front and rear damage and car in front of that rear ended.

Glad to say no injuries, just a mega insurance claim, and I guess some unhappy car owners ( thought they were safely parked outside their houses!!! ) I hope he managed to get some photos on his phone !!

Just sent him a text asking if Al Kaeda offered him work yet !!

Ram-a-van was last week
