Self employed / sole trader is best in my book - just make sure that you've got more than 1 customer and you should be fine. It also means that when you work from home, you can write off things like eleccy and heating against your personal tax bill.... Oh and of course all that nice new computer kit you might buy![]()

Better to have more than miss some.All the rest of the time he was a subcontractor to 1 company. As Dominic says, keep EVERY recipt and try and update your accounts every week. Even if you use somthing gash like ms money, it's better than nothing. Certainly better than trying to work it out in excel 12 months down the line

Well it looks like the connie job isn't going to go ahead. The agency is full of it, from what I was promised on the phone to what was said when I went to see them has totally changed. She said she'll see what should can do for me, not holding out for much
I just wish these bloody people would be honest from the start and not drag you along on false promises
