Got a set of AD07's yesterday from Darren at MMC. They delivered them to Topgear in Livingston where they were fitted with care and attention.

Feel pretty good so far but not seen a dry bit of road since being fitted

Thanks to Darren @ MMC for his help and to the guys @ Topgear for a job well done.

According to Hanger111, the AD07's are Standard fit to the USA version 111R & are £108.81 for a 225/45/17 - How does that compare with MMC?

Again probably been posted - I've got really good tread left on my front RE040's , the backs are on the wear indicators (Do-nut time soon!)
The back tyres are Michelins - but i want to change them.
Do I
A) Buy Bridgestone RE40's to match the fronts
or
B) Buy something else & have a mixed set.
B1) If the answer is B) - Do i eventually change the front tyre? - i.e. a 195/50/16? - If so how does that effect the steering / ride etc.....

Sorry - about 5 questions here!

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

David, I'm no expert, but I believe that mixing tyres on our cars is a big no-no, especially if tracking the car. I think the different levels of grip front and rear can lead to handling problems at high speed / high temp.

I was in a similar situation where my rear Bridgestones were done but my fronts were fine, but I decided to just change them all to AD07s. Well worth it and I'm so glad I changed them all. I think the difference is dramatic and I'll now be sticking with the AD07s. I just donated the spare front Bridgestones to another SE member.

Go for the AD07s (standard size) :thumbsup
