Still - if it stays at a broken leg then that is something else - I'm just wondering what he broken his leg on?? Something coming into the cab or a sharp edge somewhere?

Or ratzenberger for that matter - kubicas crash was pretty similar to the one that left him with a bassal skull fracture due to the deceleration forces involved. With out hans, i fear kubica would have been in the same situation.

Ouch!

http://www.formula1.com/race/news/6257/775.html

That is going to need more than a couple of paracetamol and an elastoplast.

At least he's ok

Oh yeah, a bassal skull fracture, I mean to post that but couldn't remember if it was one s or two :D

Having watched f1 for a number of years it was good to hear that his injuries (at the moment) are serious, having read the books by Prof Sid though I'll still have my fingers crossed until the morning.

News this morning; "has concussion, and a sprained ankle"

Last nights news mentioned a broken bone in his hand :?

Still, the car and safety gear clearly did it's job.

Out of hospital yesterday, slight limp, feels confident that he will be racing next Sunday.

Unbelievable after seeing the accident.

Dr. Ronald Denis, the head of the trauma unit at the hospital, said he was amazed the young driver survived.

"I was at the [racetrack] tower, and to be honest with you, when I saw the accident I thought we were going to arrive there and he would be dead," Denis said.

"But when we arrived there, he was talking to us, complaining of some pain in his right ankle. He was breathing, talking."
