Mini Cooper Cup

Post by GrahamL » Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:56 pm

Sold the Westfield and got a Mini to compete in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup series this year.

The car is driven by my son Adam and supported by the company I work for.
(He is desperate for an Elise as his road car but insurance still difficult under 21)

Finished mid field in the first meeting and missed the second due to personal commitments.

Running in the non championship 2 driver event at the KH Speedfair on Sunday 27th June.

Will also be running at the next championship event at KH on 25th July and at the "away" round at Oulton Park on 31st July.

If anyone is about at these events come and say hello.

My mate Finlay is doing the Speedfair Mini race this weekend as well, he was the guy with the Focus RS you were speaking to at lunch on the borders run last year. :thumbsup

Give him a shout he'll be happy to help if you need anything

A good day on Sunday in the two driver "fun" race at Speedfair.
The boys got 4th just behind Andy's mate Finlay and his partner.
The first two places were taken by the two main contenders for the Championship who were partnered by a couple of old hands from last year.
Next round at KH on 25th July if anyone is about say hello.

A good weekend was had at KH with the weather on Sunday even staying dry and turning sunny in the afternoon.

Adam qualified 5th out of a field of 17 which was a good start. Finished 5th in first race holding off some strong contenders and his team mate Kenny who is leading the newcomers championship.

A steady finish of 6th in the second race was followed by a reverse grid in the last which found him mixing it with the front runners for the championship.

He held a good line and finished 7th which was complemented with Kenny winning the race from pole on the reverse grid.

Oulton Park next weekend for some real fun.

Only spotted one Elise in the car park today a S2 111s with a S111 number plate, must be someone on here?
